we offer comprehensive Take-Off and Estimating services to meet your specific project needs. We use an overarching project master sheet, breaking down each take-off into individual packages to ensure precision and efficiency.

While we do not typically include labour estimates, we are always happy to discuss any additional services that may be required to meet your needs.

The Team
At P4HB, our team is dedicated to helping builders reduce time and costs in their building projects. Our founders, Finbarr and James, have been working together since 2015 and in early 2020, they recognised the need to address the issues that were causing over 55% of builds to be delayed or over budget - inadequate planning and estimation, and poor service due to a lack of long-term relationships with suppliers.
They saw that over 55% of builds are either delayed or over-run on budget. Usually both!
They understood that builders needed to focus on what they do best - building. And so, they launched P4HB to cut through all the hassle of sourcing and scheduling materials, allowing our customers to do just that. Finbarr and James understand the challenges that their clients face, and they are passionate about delivering a procurement service that meets the unique needs of the building industry. Finbarr Doyle Managing Director
As the Managing Director of P4HB, I understand the challenges UK builders face, including inefficient planning, scheduling, and materials supply management. We offer solutions through our two key services. As your exclusive buying department, we manage all procurement needs, saving you time and money.
For larger projects, our external support enhances your in-house team's capabilities, driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Our commitment is to be your dependable partner, helping you build smarter, more effectively, and successfully navigate a competitive market. James Allen Sales Director
James Allen brings over 15 years of comprehensive experience in sales and supply chain management, having worked in both the FMCG sector and the building materials industry. His deep expertise in supply chain management was further developed through his work in drylining distribution before moving into the IBC Buying Group for Builders Merchants, where they leveraged a £500 million buying power.
In early 2019, James founded AAS Distribution, recognising a gap in the market for a service-oriented procurement model that could meet the unique needs of developers. In 2020, James and Finbarr launched P4HB, offering tailored take-off, scheduling, and supply procurement solutions for investors, developers, and main contractors. This expansion also led to the creation of Daylight, a full turnkey glazing partner specialising in mid to high-end projects, and Genau Kitchens, which provides comprehensive design and turnkey kitchen solutions.
James is passionate about helping his clients build on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. He understands the daily challenges faced by investors, developers, and main contractors, and emphasises collaboration, communication, transparency, and delivering real value on every project.
What were they up to before P4HB?
James brings extensive experience in sales and supply chain scheduling to the table. With a career spanning over 15 years, he has worked in both the FMCG sector and the building materials industry. James has a wealth of knowledge in supply chain management, having specialised in this area in his previous role. He then went on to work in drylining distribution, where he was employed by Finbarr at IBC Buying Group. James later started a Sales Director role with Nationwide before launching AAS Distribution in early 2019.
Recognising a gap in the market for a service-driven procurement model that could cater to the specific needs of developers, James launched AAS Distribution. As the business started to grow in the back end of 2019, James approached Finbarr early 2020 about how they could help change the way business is done in the construction industry. This gave birth to P4HB and Daylight, providing a reliable and efficient procurement service to builders and developers in the industry.
With their extensive experience and passion for delivering exceptional service, James and Finbarr are committed to helping their clients achieve their goals. They understand the challenges that builders and developers face and are dedicated to providing a service that meets their unique needs. Martyn Papprill Project Co-ordinator
Martyn is a seasoned professional in technical support, client services, and procurement within the building materials sector. With a solid foundation as a construction buyer in the industry before joining P4HB, he brings a wealth of experience to his role.
Martyn is known for his meticulous attention to detail and his ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to clients. With a passion for delivering exceptional service and a dedication to efficiency, Martyn is a valuable asset to our team.
Jamie Wyatt Procurement Consultant
Having spent over 35 years in the construction industry, Jamie has held senior procurement and supply chain posts in a number of companies including Wickes, Travis Perkins, and the h&b Buying Group.
He has consulted for a number of businesses in a specialist supply chain capacity, covering areas including strategic business development, pricing and margin management, route to market analysis, international sourcing and rebate management strategy.
Sophie Ackroyd Procurement Manager
A proud woman in construction, Sophie is an experienced, proven purchasing professional within the industry having previously worked in buying roles in the utilities, concrete manufacturing and high-end property development sectors.
Outside of work Sophie is family oriented, with her two main hobbies encompassing cheerleading for her kids (during their hobbies) and ensuring UK import standards for cheese and wine remain high (her hobby!), plus of course loving travel, music and playing the piano.
Alexa Allen Office Manager
With 15 years of experience in large corporates and start-ups, Alexa oversees the operation, personnel, and finances of our office. Joining P4HB with a wealth of knowledge, she provides invaluable insight and strategies for our growing business.
Alexa's eye for detail ensures smooth operations, while her extensive background equips her to navigate the challenges of scaling. Committed to running an efficient HQ, Alexa is integral to our team's success, providing the friendly ‘bite’ that every office manager needs!
Marcus Sinclair Fenestration
Marcus, our fenestration lead, spearheads all aspects of glazing design, supply, and installation quotes. His portfolio boasts collaborations with industry giants like Crest Nicholson, as well as engagements with architects of varying scales.
With 14 years of experience in the glazing industry, Marcus is a pivotal member of our team, having joined us from day one. With a deep understanding of glazing systems and exceptional attention to detail, Marcus brings a wealth of industry knowledge and technical expertise to our P4HB team.
Paul Esson Marketing
Paul is our retained marketing consultant who has been with P4HB since day one, and was even involved in the planning stages. Paul worked with FTSE companies, large privates and start-up SMEs prior to starting his sales and marketing consultancy in 2020.
Working with a wide range of clients and different industries throughout the week means Paul gets invaluable insight to various sales and marketing trends which are then shared, tried and tested with our team on a weekly basis when Paul spends a full day in the office with us.

Chris is a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience specialising in delivery and resource planning across the construction industry. His expertise lies in orchestrating seamless project delivery through meticulous planning and efficient resource allocation.
